As more and more solar and wind projects are being introduced into the electrical grid, the need for better infrastructure is necessary to support this type of energy. RailPros was selected to prepare engineering drawings for the grading, drainage and pad design; process public road permits through the County of San Diego; and provide construction administration throughout the duration of the project. This $2.5 million dollar project is the first to be built by SDG&E, which includes two 1-Megawatt inverters to help even out the up-and-down flow of solar electric power, and its own central processing unit to gather information and send back to SDG&E’s central control via satellite for monitoring purposes.
This is an exciting project for RailPros, as it expands our repertoire and our client base. The project is handled out of our San Diego office by Matt Britten, David Berryman, Dan Alvira, Nimish Sinha, and Jerome Magsino.
