Our observer will work under the direction of the Engineer to protect the railroad infrastructure and may be assigned additional responsibilities as required. The observer acts as representatives of the Company and is expected to establish a professional business relationship with contractors, suppliers, Railroad Representatives, vendors, other stakeholders, and Company personnel.
+ Responsible for the inspection of utility installations across railroad property.
+ Perform on-site inspection of trenchless construction within railroad right-of-way providing support for 3rd party on and around live railroad tracks.
+ Responsible for documentation of pre and post-construction site conditions, verification of materials and layout, observation and documentation of daily construction activities and maintain an active dialog with on and off-site personnel.
+ Inspect temporary soil retaining shoring system in accordance with approved design plans.
+ Attend both railroad and contractor daily job briefings.
+ Submit daily inspection reports using a tablet that accurately depicts what occurred on the work progress, adherence to the railroad utility agreement.
+ Complete other reports and duties as required.
