Senior Project Manager of Safety & Training – 11873
The Senior Project Manager, Safety & Training, executes on the development and implementation of regulatory and custom-made training programs. This subject matter expert role will work directly with RailPros Media Services to deliver a high-quality and industry/CFR 243 approved product, meeting and exceeding our customers expectations. The Senior Project Manager serves as the primary liaison with internal and external customers, federal, state and local agencies and other external stakeholders in these areas. The position provides essential service and support to our Training and Media services teams, contributing to the overall reputation and assisting in the growth of the business unit.
+ Expert knowledge in FRA railroad rules and regulations
+ Expert knowledge in Roadway Worker Regulations and the practical application in the field.
+ Expert knowledge in GCOR and/or US Operating Rules and experience working under Class 1 Railroad rules
+ Knowledgeable in both OSHA 1910 and 1926 regulations
+ Highly effective as an instructor/teacher for adult learners
+ Ability to develop teaching resources, such as presentations, workbooks, tests, checklists and other items to develop and enhance associate safety and rules competence
+ Must be proficient in the use of email, computers, Word, Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint, Google Drive and other software commonly employed to develop presentations and educational materials
+ Proven leadership skills
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work with federal, state and local agencies, regulators, field and office staff, railroad officials, potential clients and existing clients.
+ Proven ability to exercise discretion in the handling of sensitive and/or confidential materials and information
+ The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree with the business, training or safety fields
+ The ideal candidate for this position will have at least 7 years of direct railroad experience within the MOW department and/or the equivalent experience within the FRA or similar industry governing body, with a significant portion of the time in the role focused on safety, rules, and training.
