Construction Management

Whether the work involves task order assignments or stand-alone contracts, RailPros offers complete construction management services. We work extensively with railroad staff, contractors, and third-party agencies coordinating, managing, and delivering construction projects located on or around the railroad. We provide construction managers, resident engineers, office engineers, schedulers, inspectors, safety officers, and administrative staff. RailPros Construction Managers excel at identifying and mitigating potential issues and developing plans and schedules that maximize both the operating use of the track and the available construction time.

Inspection

RailPros provides inspection services to public agencies and freight railroads nationwide. Our seasoned inspection personnel confirm that track is constructed and remains in accordance with contract documents, engineering standards and all FRA requirements. Our inspectors are trained to identify immediate issues and provide detailed direction to address non-conformance.  Inspection teams often work under live railroad traffic without impacting service.

Inspection services include:

  • Safety Training
  • Track Inspections (FRA mandated monthly inspections)
  • 5- and 10-Year Maintenance Plans
  • Maintenance Estimates
  • Maintenance Program Management
  • Preparation of Bid Documents for Repairs and Maintenance Programs
  • Secure Track Inspection Reports (with quick and easy access, if needed for an FRA Audit.)

Railroad Coordination

Due to each railroad’s proprietary specifications, planning and constructing a project on or near a railroad can be challenging. RailPros’ team of professionals understand these challenges and are available to guide agencies and contractors from project planning through construction. We understand the specific processes and procedures of each railroad. Our clients often see a reduction in delay associated with railroad review and approval by partnering with us.
