  • Engineering Intern – Layton, UT

    RailPros Inc., founded in 2000, is a California based firm with 58 engineers and technicians who practice
    engineering and design, project management, and construction management for both public and private
    railroad related projects. We are headquartered in Irvine, CA, with office locations in California, Texas,

    RailPros Field Services, Inc. is expanding and in need of an Engineering Intern in our Layton, Utah
    location. This position is now open for immediate hire. The role of the Engineering Intern is to provide
    design, engineering, and observation activities related to freight rail and transit projects.

    Duties include but are not limited to:

    *Assist engineers in designing various rail and civil engineering projects
    *Perform alignment, draining, utilities, at‐grade crossings, and earthwork design using: AutoCAD, Microstation, InRail
    *Cost estimating, specifications, and construction submittals review
    *Assist in preparation of rail and civil plans for freight, commuter, and transit projects
    *Limited field observation on project sites before, during, and after construction
    *Work closely with project managers to execute project deliverables

    Specific Skills Required, including but not limited to:

     *0‐2 years’ experience
     *Major Status in Civil Engineering, will consider commensurate experience
     *Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat
