We need an experienced professional engineer to take overall responsibility for ensuring delivery of PS&E work that satisfies the expectations of our clients.  Responsibilities include leading and performing work on projects, staff assignment management and recruiting, quality control checking of work and training coordination. Strong PS&E experience developing final design for projects in the civil engineering areas of grading, drainage, utilities and roadway is a must.     Job Description – RailPros has an immediate need for Track Inspectors to work in and around the Washington D.C. area.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Perform daily track inspections, complete track inspection reports, and reports unsafe conditions to the WMATA RWIC/ Escort for immediate actions
    • Mentor WMATA track Inspectors as requested by the TRST General Superintendent/TRST Management Team.
    • Comply with WMATA Roadway Worker Protection and safety/operating rules in the discharge and performance of field duties.

    Mandatory Requirements

    • Must have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience working for a rail transit agency, or railroad qualified on FRA Class 4 railroad
    • Must have experience with railroad track construction and maintenance
    • Must know and understand track safety standards and apply the knowledge in the field
    • Must be able to document items of non-compliance
    • Must have appropriate oral and written communication skills
    • Must be physically fit and able to walk 5+ miles a day
    • Mentally sharp to be able to respond and react to a live environment
    • Be able to pass a background check to obtain a badge for the project

    RailPros seeks a Civil/Traffic Designer to join our Traffic Engineering team in our Irvine office to assist on a variety of traffic-oriented tasks on multiple railroad projects throughout the company.

    The Civil/Traffic Designer will be responsible for developing and completing work relative to traffic engineering at highway-rail grade crossings including traffic planning, design and signal operations.

    The Civil/Traffic Designer will assist in the development and successful delivery of a variety of technical work products, including analysis of existing traffic operations,  design plans (signing, striping, stage construction/traffic control, traffic signal), traffic engineering analysis reports, specifications and estimates for city, county and rail and light rail facilities. Field work is expected and the candidate should be able to travel to project sites.

    Job Description – RailPros is seeking a Signal Engineer to work in the Field. Responsibilities include:
    • Inspect Contractor’s work and file daily reports
    • Oversee Contractor or be the lead in pretesting new installations
    • Oversee Contractor, review and approve test plans for commissioning (signal cutovers) of new or modified installations
    • Prepare test sheets, lead and direct commissioning of new or modified installations
    • Review test reports and ensure all required filings take place

    Requirements – The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years supervisory or lead test engineer experience required on an FRA regulated railroad. Familiarity with FRA regulations, CPUC general orders, GCOR rules, and CA MUTCD required.
