Transportation Training Manager – 13219

We specialize in areas of RWIC/railroad flagging, project management, observation and inspection, real estate, rail design and engineering, training, and media production. As a leader in our industry, RailPros’ projects create long-term value for our clients from concept through operation by providing technical excellence and outstanding services. We are seeking an experienced Transportation Training Manager for our Los Angeles, CA location and surrounding areas. Our Training Manager will execute the delivery and implementation of regulatory and custom-made training programs. They will serve as the subject matter expert and will work directly with RailPros Training and Media Services to deliver a high-quality and industry/CFR 243 approved product, meeting and exceeding our customers’ expectations.
  • + Expert knowledge in FRA railroad rules and regulations
  • + Expert knowledge in Transportation based regulations (Train, Engine & Yard) and the practical application in the field
  • + Expert knowledge in GCOR and/or US Operating Rules and experience working under Class 1 Railroad rules
  • + Knowledgeable in both OSHA 1910 and 1926 regulations
  • + Demonstrated experience as an instructor/teacher for adult learners
  • + Proven ability to develop teaching resources, such as presentations, workbooks, tests, checklists, and other items to develop and enhance associate safety and rules competence
  • + Proficient in the use of email, computers, Word, Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint, Google Drive and other software commonly employed to develop presentations and educational materials.
  • + Proven leadership skills
  • + The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree within the business, training, or safety fields
  • + The ideal candidate for this position will have at least 7 years of direct railroad experience within the Transportation (TY&E) department and/or the equivalent experience within the FRA or similar industry governing body, with a significant portion of the time in the role focused on safety, rules, and training
