North to focus on client relationships with passenger and transit rail agencies across North America.
Dallas – October 4, 2022 – Irving-based RailPros announced today that it has promoted Joe North to Senior Vice President, Passenger & Transit Rail Partnerships. In his new role, North will oversee client development services for passenger and transit rail relationships for the company, which provides services to railroads of all sizes across North America.
“Joe has done an excellent job helping us deepen our relationships with rail agencies in the Northeast,” said Ken Koff, president and chief executive officer of RailPros. “Having him oversee our passenger and transit rail opportunities across North America was a natural next step. Joe’s background and expertise will enable him to pursue new business opportunities for RailPros, with a focus on continuing to provide the exceptional level of customer service that we are known for.”
North, who has more than 40 years of transit experience, joined RailPros in 2018 as the Vice President for the Northeast Market. He has held senior-level roles in commuter and light rail operations and has also served in strategy and engineering consulting firms in the U.S. and Canada.
“I look forward to continuing to explore ways in which our services at RailPros can benefit passenger and transit rail agencies in North America,” said Joe North, senior vice president, Passenger & Transit Rail Partnerships. “It’s a dynamic time in the passenger rail industry, as our clients rebuild their pre-pandemic ridership levels, carefully manage their operating funds to address safety and passenger service needs, recruit and train a next-gen workforce, and continue to seek new ways to deliver complex capital programs. RailPros’ staff has the skillsets and rail industry experience to help our clients effectively solve these challenges.”
North’s promotion is the latest long-term strategic business move by RailPros, which hired Chief Financial Officer Jeff Vines and Chief Legal and People Officer Daniel Carter over the summer. The company, which provides a variety of consulting services to the railroad industry – including engineering design, construction management, flagging, training, and right-of-way management, continues to see sustainable growth as the freight and passenger railroad industry benefits from infrastructure investments in a post-pandemic landscape.
