TEXRail, a 27-mile commuter rail project, developed by the Fort Worth Transportation Authority (The T) is the latest passenger rail service serving Tarrant County. The initial service section extends from downtown Fort Worth and continues through the Northside, North Richland Hills, and Grapevine to the northern entrance of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. RailPros provided engineering, project review, and construction management support to UPRR for Union Pacific’s portion of the construction from Fort Worth to DFW Airport. Our railway field services scope included the review of the final construction plans (IFB Set), underpass structures, crash walls, retaining walls, phasing as it pertains to UPRR operations, drainage plans, utility plans, demolition plans, construction submittals including hole-in-the-wall structures. In addition, RailPros reviewed the soil nail walls, drainage structures, shoring, falsework, demolition, erection plans, and shop drawings. We also performed on-site observations for the critical underpass structures, retaining walls, and critical construction milestones.
