Metrolink Railroad Trespassing and Suicide Prevention Summit
The Metrolink summit, held September 21, 2022, in Los Angeles, connects transportation leaders, mental health professionals, rail industry experts and government officials to discuss ways to improve safety along the railroad. Program Manager Danielle Libring, PE, TE, will be speaking during a session on grade crossing prioritization and risk assessment analysis. RailPros helped the Southern California Regional Rail Authority (SCRRA) in the development of the Grade Crossing Safety Prioritization Tool. While the safest crossing is still no crossing, the Grade Crossing Safety Prioritization Tool provides a way to prioritize safety improvements to identify where the key needs are on the system and where to direct resources.
