Welcome New Team Members!

James Todd,  recently relocated from the East Coast to support both our Irvine and San Diego offices as a Civil Engineer. Karina Guevara, a recent San Diego State University graduate is working from our San Diego office as a Designer. Brian Repsher recently joined our San Diego office as a Civil Engineer. Paula Ring is the San Diego office’s new Office Administrator. Adrian Rodriguez  is a recent Cal Poly Pomona graduate and is working with our Design team in Irvine.

WTS-IE Chapter Employer of the Year RailPros was nominated for the 2013 WTS IE Chapter Employer of the Year Award. Nomination criteria is based on projects, services, quality, affirmative action, continuing education, development, female internships, and support of the chapter. RAILWAY INTERCHANGE 2013: RailPros and RailPros Field Services were excited to participate in this year’s Railway Interchange conference in Indianapolis, IN. This huge industry event combined AREMA, REMSA, RSSI, and RSI into a large 4-day exhibition and conference. RailPros’ Projects Underway

Point Defiance Bypass, WashDOT (Subconsultant to HDR) – RailPros is providing track and earthwork design, railroad signal and communication system design, and utility coordination support. UPRR Flagging, Laredo Subdivision – RailPros Field Services has recently mobilized our first flagmen under our contract with Union Pacific Railroad to provide flagging services on the Laredo Subdivision. We hope to expand to other subdivisions in Texas by the end of the year. SR 91 Expansion Project – RailPros is in contract negotiations for the SR 91 Expansion Design Build Project.

Project Highlight: SDG&E’s Dynamic Voltage Controller, Fallbrook California

As more and more solar and wind projects are being introduced into the electrical grid, the need for better infrastructure is necessary to support this type of energy. RailPros was selected to prepare engineering drawings for the grading, drainage and pad design; process public road permits through the County of San Diego; and provide construction administration throughout the duration of the project. California High Speed Rail

RailPros is excited to be a part of the Tutor-Perini/Zachary/Parsons Transportation Group Joint Venture team, which was announced as the best scoring team for the California High Speed Rail Authority Central Valley Construction Project! The Tutor/Zachary/Parsons JV was one of the five pre-qualified teams that submitted a proposal. This project is the Authority’s first design-build project, which combines project design and construction into a single contract. RailPros has a subconsultant agreement with the Joint Venture to perform Civil Engineering-Heavy Rail services. Work is anticipated to commence later this year.

We are excited to welcome these new team members: David Berryman has joined our San Diego office as a Senior Civil Engineer. He is heading our new work with Metropolitan Transit System. Mackenzie Terborg is working with RailPros Field Services as an Administrative Assistant. She has been essential with our ever- growing FS operations. Anabel Gutierrez, our new Accounting Intern, is working in our Irvine office as she completes her Bachelor’s at CSUF. RailPros’ Irvine Office has moved! As of 11/22/2010, we have moved to 1 Ada, Suite 200, Irvine, CA 92618. We are still settling into our new space and we love the new building. RailPros Opens Downtown San Diego Office

RailPros, Inc. has recently opened a Downtown San Diego office to better serve our San Diego area clients. The office is headed by Mike Ruth, PE and Joe Aroyo, PE. Mr. Ruth and Mr. Aroyo are managing projects for SANDAG, CCDC, NCTD and other major San Diego clients. Current projects include: Downtown San Diego Quiet Zone, CCDC. RailPros designed significant improvements at 12 multi-track at-grade crossings grade crossing improvements in order to implement a quiet zone in downtown San Diego.
