Tri-City Foods Industry Track Project

RailPros designed the realignment of an existing industry spur for the expansion of this facility. Tri-City Foods (TCF) desired to expand their existing building and their spur track ran along the edge of the building that would move out. This required shifting approximately 600’ of the existing track over about 40’ further away from the building. The design included multiple utility crossings and at-grade crossings for pedestrian paths. The design also included a loading dock with switches that met BNSF clearance requirements and bay doors that required the track to be aligned to line up the cars with the doors. The track design conformed to BNSF Industry Track Standards and included utility casings in accordance with the BNSF Utility Accommodation Policy and AREMA standards as well as grading of the proposed track per BNSF standard industry track sections. Walkway standards also conformed to Washington codes.
